Orient Express Holidays with Venice & Florence Combined

The Venice Simplon Orient Express is a fantastic way to celebrate your special occasion, and we are pleased to announce that we have now extended our Orient Express portfolio to three breaks currently on offer. The first is combining Venice and the Orient Express, the next is Verona Opera with the Orient Express, and now for people who have a little longer to indulge their wanderlust, we have added the Orient Express, Venice and Florence Classic Trip.

This new break affords you three wonderful experiences to delight both you and your loved one. Orient Express holidays always prove a good way to avoid the busy airports on both legs of your trip, and this means taking your time to enjoy Paris and the majestic Alps, as your luxury train travels through Europe before reaching Venice. With three restaurant cars and a new Champagne bar, you can meet some like-minded people, and even satisfy the taste buds further with a Champagne breakfast!

The luxury continues when you arrive in Venice and stay at one of the best 5 star hotels in Venice – Hotel Metropole. This hotel has the perfect blend of good service, fantastic location, a Michelin Star restaurant, and a very Venetian atmosphere.

To make the most of your time you have a fantastic gourmet tasting dinner at the hotel along with a very romantic sunset gondola ride. We also provide a Venice Pass Card which provides you with free access to the main two sites on Venice – the Doges Palace and St Mark’s Basilica. Wander round at your leisure discovering the real history of this incredible floating metropolis.

Then reach the third part of your trip with a first class train to Florence, just over 2 hours from Venice. Stay at Hotel Brunelleschi, located right in the centre of Florence, and only minutes from the Duomo. The upgrade level rooms even afford a wonderful vista overlooking this main sight.

Once in Florence you have free time with your Florence Pass Card, again “beating the queues”, before your Chianti afternoon. This trip involves visiting the Chianti region in a small group (up to 16 people in total) and seeing many of the towns that make up the Chianti region, along with a wine tasting along the way. The last part of this tour takes you to San Donato in Poggio, an eleventh century fortified castle, for your traditional Florentine T-bone steak, but save room because this could easily be weighing 1kg!

With all of this on offer, Orient Express holidays are impossible to resist!

About Hannah Netting

Hannah has had the travel bug from an early age where she was fortunate enough to travel widely, including a four month trip around the world. For her experiencing new cultures, sights and wonders was very important.

Lately her focus has been heavily on Italy enhanced by many wonderful trips including Verona, Venice, Top to Toe, Florence, amongst many others. In Venice she got lost in true Venetian style and got to experience the amazing acoustics of the Verona Arena. Currently Florence is her favourite, but this can always change! With plenty on offer in Italy, it will keep her entertained for many more trips to come!
