New and Improved Sorrento Holiday

3D Virtual Reality Pompeii Tour, Sorrento

Once in a while a break starts to get a bit tired and needs a bit of TLC. Having visited the Sorrento region and spoken to suppliers, I am pleased to announce our Sorrento holiday trip has now had a re-working and it shows!

Stunning Sorrento Scenery, Italy

We decided the first place to start was the hotel so you now have the choice between 4 star Hotel Imperial Tramontano and 5 star Bellevue Syrene. Both hotels are located overlooking The Gulf of Naples with open air dining, but Hotel Imperial Tramontano also has a 16th century chapel with fantastic frescoes, whereas Bellevue Syrene has 3 dining areas and games room. Both hotels have a beach easily accessible from the hotel. With only a 5 minutes walk from the centre of Sorrento, you are able to enjoy your free time either at the hotel or a wander into town.

Blue Grotto tour, Capri, Italy

For the programme itself we have extended by one day, as there is too much to really do the region well. The Pompeii tour has been revamped to be a 3D tour, which includes a virtual reality headset enabling you to venture through the site with your small group and guide, witnessing the buildings intact and the ancient Pompeiians walking amongst you. We have also included a full day private guided tour of nearby Capri. This tour includes visiting Anacapri, the highest part of the island, along with a trip to the Blue Grotto (weather permitting) where you can enjoy the emerald shimmer as you enter the cave by boat.

Finally for either arrival or departure depending on your flight times, a private guided tour of the Naples Catacombs has been added. Learn about the history and ritual of these underground burial chambers with your guide.

With so much on offer in the region, you are sure to find plenty to do on your Sorrento holiday!

About Hannah Netting

Hannah has had the travel bug from an early age where she was fortunate enough to travel widely, including a four month trip around the world. For her experiencing new cultures, sights and wonders was very important.

Lately her focus has been heavily on Italy enhanced by many wonderful trips including Verona, Venice, Top to Toe, Florence, amongst many others. In Venice she got lost in true Venetian style and got to experience the amazing acoustics of the Verona Arena. Currently Florence is her favourite, but this can always change! With plenty on offer in Italy, it will keep her entertained for many more trips to come!
